What is HEME?


What is the Impossible Burger and is it 

better for you?
 
 

The students will learn more about red meat 

and plant based burgers.

Did you know...     Heme is an iron-containing compound of the porphyrin class which forms the nonprotein part of hemoglobin and some other biological molecules.
What is heme impossible burger?  When soy leghemoglobin is cooked, it produces heme, the iron-rich compound that gives the "bleeding" veggie burger made by Impossible Foods its signature blood-red color.

5th Grade Trip to Math Museum in NYC


National Museum of Mathematics
The National Museum of Mathematics or MoMath is a museum dedicated to mathematics in Manhattan, New York City. It opened on December 15, 2012. It is located at 11 East 26th Street between Fifth and Madison Avenues, across from Madison Square Park in the NoMad neighborhood.
